Christine Ingraham is a new kitchen designer on the block, and she’s got an impressive pedigree: She’s the great-granddaughter of Frank Lloyd Wright. Ingraham builds on her legacy of craftsmanship with Box Kitchen—founded in 2010—by designing smart and customizable kitchen components. Her collection comprises modular section in a range of 33 laminate colors, 10 veneers, and three countertop materials: The components are made of solid wood and have a range of features that include soft-close drawers, full-extension drawers, and invisible hinges.
Box Kitchen’s mission, says Ingraham, is to provide the look and feel of a custom kitchen without the custom price. Steven Jaynes of Haute Living, which welcomes the new collection with a shindig on January 26, loves the flexibility of the new line. “It can fit literally anywhere and make any space look like it was built around that kitchen. It always looks like the room was built around it,” he says.
