Following in the multihued footsteps of several manufacturers featured in our last issue, luxe furniture company Florense is ‘just adding color,’ to its latest collection of kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and furniture. Always sleek and elegant but rarely what anyone would call out there (color-wise, at least), the company is rolling out seven new hues in matte and high gloss lacquer finishes—there’s electric yellow, ocean blue, orange, eggplant, and fiery red, among others. Glass is also available in eggplant and olive hues. Chicago showroom owner Jon Fante says Florense has previously offered a more conservative palate, but is excited to introduce such vibrant finishes. And if you’re nervous about jumping in feet first, “[The new hues] can also be used as accents in a more neutral space by only adding color to select panels,” Fante says. As shown above, a Florense kitchen stands out with high gloss eggplant cabinetry ($24,900), alongside the Trasso collection side table in high gloss pitanga orange ($660). All seven colors are currently available for purchase and will land in Florense’s Chicago showroom this November.
