Price Cuts at Lake Forest’s Amberley Woods PRICES AXED ON TUDORS: Price cuts at North Shore project make 15 condos more affordable By Dennis Rodkin August 18, 2010, 3:48 pm LAKE FOREST FROM $299,900 TO $639,990 At Amberley Woods—a 45-condo development built by Residential Homes of America on a wooded lot south of Illinois Route 60 in western Lake Forest—prices have been cut by up to 43 percent. “This building was designed and executed to house units that started at $570,000 and went up past $1 million, so there are some magnificent things here,” says Mary Pat Lundgren, the Coldwell Banker agent who, with Michele Wilson, is selling the development’s 15 remaining condos. Housed in a building that resembles a nearby Tudor mansion (from whose estate the development was carved), the condos range from a 1,363-square-foot unit priced at $299,900 to a 2,591-square-foot unit on the building’s top floor that is going for $639,990. There are a wide variety of floor plans, but all the condos have large master baths, and the kitchens are set back or separate from the main rooms instead of being incorporated into an open great room. Other features include oversize base and crown moldings, ten-foot ceilings, high-end cabinetry and countertops, and balconies framed by stone arches. Parking, which is included in the purchase price, is underneath the building. Photography: LakeForestHomesOnline.com Tags: Real Estate & Neighborhoods
