LINCOLN PARK
LIST PRICE: $1.675 million
SALE PRICE: $1.46 million

Daniel Frank, the principal of the Francis W. Parker School, has sold his row house immediately north of the Lincoln Park campus.

Built in 1890, the 11-room limestone residence is linked to three adjoining row houses by the horizontal lines carved into their façades and their etched window and door frames. According to the listing sheet, Frank’s former home has 11-foot ceilings on the raised first floor, as well as three marble fireplace mantels, cherry floors, and an updated kitchen. There are two bedrooms on the second floor and three on the third.

In addition to his work at Parker—where he was a member of the class of 1974—Frank also edits a professional journal called Schools and occasionally writes for The Huffington Post. He has taught at the University of Chicago, DePaul University, and the Institute for Psychoanalysis. Frank is the son of the philanthropist Joan Harris and the stepson of her late husband, Irving B. Harris, the cofounder of the Toni Home Permanent Company and a longtime civic leader before his death in 2004.

Frank and his wife, Carol, paid $1.48 million for the home in 2004; their recent sale closed in late October. Daniel Frank did not respond to a request for comment.
