Wrightwood Crossing in Lincoln Park

LINCOLN PARK
FROM $495,000
TO $1.999 million

Reacting to neighborhood concerns, Giacomo Caliendo downsized his original plans for Wrightwood Crossing, the condo building his G. Corp Development is constructing on a former industrial parcel of land in Lincoln Park. Designed by [1016] Architecture, the building, at 1307 West Wrightwood Avenue, now has only 19 units, lots of green features, and a huge rooftop deck for one condo. That deck is the result of a third-floor setback that gives the street-level façade of the property the more neighborhood-friendly look of two adjoining single-family homes. “I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out,” says Caliendo.

Likely to become certified LEED Platinum by the U.S. Green Building Council, the building boasts extra insulation and air sealing, flooring and cabinetry made from stewarded woods, and Energy Star appliances. There are also two nearby el stops that contribute to the building’s green profile.

At presstime, eight units had been sold; Jeff Lowe of Prudential Rubloff represents the remaining units. The most expensive condo, which faces onto that oversize deck, is a 4,370-square-foot five-bedroom duplex priced at $1.999 million. At the lower end, a 1,252-square-foot two-bedroom unit is priced at $495,000. Occupancy is scheduled for late spring, and indoor parking is included in the sale price.
