Trenchermen’s seared scallops, oyster egg-lemon sauce, and bamboo rice

The Sheerin brothers have been bopping around the Chicago dining scene for more than a decade—Mike most recently helming the kitchen at Blackbird and Pat the Signature Room at the 95th. Now the burly Edgewater natives finally landed where they belong: together, at their own restaurant, doing hearty, smart, Sheeriny food. The former Spring space, once a rock garden den of Zen, will reopen in April with an “early 1900s factory” makeover. Intriguing dishes will include hominy tortellini stuffed with head cheese in a posole consommé and a cardamom tofu ice cream with fried chocolate and coffeecake. Sounds like home. 2039 W.
