On March 14, the prolific Berwyn painter Paul Nudd opens an exhibit five years in the making. N.U.D.D. 2: Pituitumorphology is chock-full of obsessively detailed portraits that look as if they emerged from a science-fiction novel. Nudd describes the one pictured above, Sucto-Puptic Udder Hunk, as “anti–Dr. Seuss.”
Fortunately for viewers, the gelatinous globs are as alluring as they are grotesque. The show runs through April 19 at Western Exhibitions. westernexhibitions.com
