For the first time since 1995, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s annual student fashion show returns to the museum—only this year, it will be in the Griffin Court of the Modern Wing. “The show’s going to pull the individuals in the city who support art, fashion, design, and architecture under one umbrella and give us something that’s filled with energy,” says Nick Cave, the chair of the school’s fashion department. With back-to-back-to-back presentations on Friday, May 7th, the general admission viewing and the gala are sure to draw crowds, but hype centers around the new late-night event, NightWalk, which will also include designs from the SAIC Legend of Fashion honoree Gary Graham. Tickets for the three presentations are $75, $500, and $100, respectively.
