On October 3, Splash and Chicago magazine hosted 375 guests for the eighth annual Chairs for Charity event at Marshall’s Landing in the Mart. Sixteen of Chicago’s top designers came together to breathe new life into vintage chairs, which were auctioned off with all the proceeds benefiting Designs for Dignity. Partygoers were able to take a break from bidding on their favorite chairs to mingle, enjoy bites, and sip Basil Hayden’s cocktails and Chloe Prosecco. With Eva Quateman Interiors’ Lola Lounge Chair going for the highest bid of $1,500, the Coldwell Banker–sponsored event raised more than $9,000 for Designs for Dignity, a nonprofit that transforms the spaces of nonprofits through pro bono design and in-kind donations.
