On August 14, Chicago magazine hosted its third Secret Supper of 2023 at Lettuce Entertain You’s newest wine-forward restaurant, the Oakville Grill & Cellar. Attendees soaked in Cali-inspired vibes in the upstairs dual indoor-outdoor private dining room while enjoying a five-course dinner curated by chef Max Robbins and his culinary team. The custom menu included vegetarian-centric dishes, with a focus on seasonal, fresh ingredients, such as the wood-grilled heirloom artichokes and local Burrata with blackberries and aged balsamic. The entrée course featured signature grilled Berkshire pork with charred corn salad and honey butter as well as signature mushroom and eggplant ragu. Guests enjoyed deliciously refreshing cocktails featuring Sipsmith London dry gin, House of Suntory Haku vodka, and Maker’s 46 bourbon.
