Dmitry Samarov came into a find recently: Studs Terkel reading Nelson Algren, probably from his WFMT radio show. The two recordings, about an hour and a half in total, seem to be drawn from a lengthy tribute from Terkel to Algren, covering "How the Devil Came Down Division Street" and "Chicago: City on the Make," along with commentary by Terkel. Terkel, as you can imagine, is a great choice to read Algren—a gripping voice for Algren's rippling prose.
