ABC7 has a good, raw-video interview with Garry McCarthy. He's very insistent on not talking about the arrests in Bridgeport, a month-long investigation that either ended up with the seizure of bomb-making equipment or beer-making equipment or something else, but there's other interesting details. Among them: why they didn't arrest anyone for the Bridgeport-arrests protest that ended up in the streets of Lakeview ("if you want to rally or parade, you should do it on the sidewalk, but if there comes a point where there are too many people, we can facilitate it in the streets… it's not such a big deal") and why officers are wearing bar codes on their arms (hint: it's like a FedEx tracking system for arrests).
