In mid- to late May, Yanitzin Sanchez (CiNe, Sabor Saveur) returns to the kitchen as executive chef and partner at the modern Mexican restaurant Más (800 W. Washington Blvd., 312-243-1995), no relation to John Manion’s erstwhile Wicker Park restaurant of the same name.
Sanchez appetized us with descriptions of a few of the items from the menu of tacos, crudos, and shareable plates.
- Breaded halibut tacos with cotija cheese and watermelon gazpacho
- A small plate of carne asada with chimichurri, queso fresco, and french fries
- Yellowtail crudo with horseradish vinaigrette and ponzu
- Flan with crema catalana (crème brûlée) foam
