Monday, 2/25: Snack on all-you-can-eat pintxos for $25 at Barcito (151 W. Erie St., 312-274-1111) from 8 to 10 p.m. as part of the ongoing Amigos of Pintxo series. Notable guest chefs this week are Thomas Lents and Patrick Fahy of Sixteen, which Chicago gives four stars (out of four).

Thursday, 2/28: Say ciao to February with a truffle dinner at Ceres’ Table (4882 N. Clark St., 773-878-4882). Shaved black truffles will top off three out of four courses on a $55 menu: wagyu beef carpaccio, aged carnaroli risotto, and grilled bobwhite quail with quail ravioli and port wine sauce. House-made vanilla and chocolate gelato finishes the meal. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Thursday, 2/28: Celebrate the two-year anniversary of Frontier (1072 N. Milwaukee Ave., 773-772-4322) with free sips and nibbles. Small bites and mixology samples start at 7 p.m.; no cover.

Make reservations now for Chicago Chef Week, from March 17 to 22. Prix fixe dinners are $44 and lunches are $22, good deals for heavy hitters like Acadia and Sepia. See the event’s website for a full list of participating restaurants.
