Each class will feature a different local brewery (such as Metropolitan one week and Solemn Oath the next) spotlighting a different part of the beermaking process. Acquaint yourself with modern twists on classic cocktails invented in hotel bars throughout history at the brand-new No Key Required series, beginning tonight at Nico Osteria’s (1015 N. Rush St., Gold Coast, 312-994-7100) second-floor Reserve Bar. Starting at 8 p.m., sample the first version of what will be a rotating menu, which presently spotlights drinks from 1930s Paris (such as the Belle Aurore, a mix of Cognac, crème de cacao, gin, and Pernod). The drinks run from $13 to $20 and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
