This plate of fried chicken would really go great with a glass of champagne.

Monday, 6/10: A home-cooked meal might be the best thing to look forward to on Mondays. As part of their Heartland Suppers special, West Town Tavern (1323 West Chicago Ave., 312-666-6175) offers a fried chicken dinner for $16.95, featuring biscuits and gravy and a glass of Duval-Leroy Brut Champagne. Frontier (1072 N. Milwaukee Ave., 773-772-4322) serves up their own fried feast on Mondays with their Brews, Birds, & Biscuits special where a fried chicken and smoked ham hock costs a mere $12.

Tuesday 6/11: Slide into the week with some French flair. La Sardine (111 N. Carpenter St., 312-421-2800) offers a $27.50 prix fixe dinner every Tuesday. The price includes three courses – appetizer, entrée, desert – for which diners can choose any item from the menu.

Wednesday, 6/12: Head to the south suburbs to enjoy a four-course beer pairing dinner at The COTTAGE on Dixie (18849 Dixie Hwy. Homewood. IL., 708-798-8263). Each course will be served alongside one of Revolution Brewing’s (2323 N. Milwaukee Ave., 773-727-2739) craft beers and will feature the brews as an ingredient in the food itself. The bison pockets served on porter buns sound intriguing, as does the Double Fist beer float. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40.

Thursday, 6/13: Fulton’s on the River (315 N. LaSalle St., 312-822-0100) has kicked a riverfront patio party series for the summer. On the second Thursday of each month from 5 to 8 p.m., Fulton’s Riverfront Barbeque series serves à la carte entrées with sides of baked beans, salad, corn on the cob, and two tall boys. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door.

Thursday, 6/13: Fans of Belgian brews will swoon when they see the line-up for Ovie Bar & Grill’s (120 N. Canal St., 312-902-1111) Belgium Beer Festival. Executive chef Mark Chmielewski has paired the grill’s signature dishes with beers from La Chouffe, Duvel, Ommegang, and Maredsous Abbey. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.

Friday, 6/14: The documentary SOMM is a rare peek inside the wine snob world that is the Court of Master Sommeliers. The film follows four men studying to pass the rigorous Master Sommelier Exam. City Winery will host the opening screening on Friday at the Music Box Theatre (3733 N. Southport Ave., 773-871-6607). Tickets are $20 and include an educational discussion, a blind taste test of three City Winery (1200 W. Randolph St., 312-733-9463) wines, and a complimentary glass of wine during the film.

Friday, 6/14: Because there are never enough excuses to drink fine whiskey, Friday is National Bourbon Day. Head to West Loop barbecue and whiskey spot Porkchop (941 W. Randolph St., 312-733-9333) to celebrate. The restaurant offers two signature bourbon flights priced individually at $22 and $23.

Saturday 6/15: Stop by Little Goat Diner (820 W. Randolph St., 312-888-3455) and enjoy some fresh air on the new rooftop patio. The new space has soft-opened already—and we visited—but it officially opens this weekend.  Friday through Sunday evenings the patio will serve up craft beer and cocktails as well as seasonal small plates.
