Tuesday, 3/26: Vote for your favorite new additions to the menu at 312 Chicago (136 N. LaSalle St., 312-696-2420). Starting at 6:30, taste four courses with two candidate dishes each, and then vote for which should make the cut. Tickets are $60 per person or $85 with wine pairings.

Thursday, 3/28: Shake your own cocktails at Epic (112 W. Hubbard St., 312-222-4940) in a vodka-themed class led by Michael Cristiani beginning at 6 p.m. For $25, learn to make the Effen Avocado, the Passionate, and the Epic Mule while munching on passed appetizers. Call for reservations.

Thursday, 3/28: Sip Macallan 10-, 12-, 15-, and 18-year scotch with hors d’oeuvres and a three-course menu of small plates from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Quay (465 E. Illinois St., 312-981-8400). Bites include house-made charcuterie and chipotle braised veal cheek. $50 per person; reservations required.

Saturday, 3/30: Sample Stephanie Izard’s retail collection of marinades and rubs, called The Flavor, at Standard Market (333 E. Ogden Ave., Westmont, 630-366-7030). Izard will give a free demonstration from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and sign copies of her book, Girl in the Kitchen How a Top Chef Cooks, Thinks, Shops, Eats and Drinks.
