The pros will walk you through the steps to creating an ideal holiday dessert by helping you make your choice of Dutch apple streusel, double-crust apple, pumpkin custard, or vegan pecan pies. The class costs $64 and includes the cost of your treat, and additional pies will be available for purchase.

How many turkey testicles can you eat in one sitting? Find out at the sixth annual eating competition at Timothy O’Toole’s Pub (622 N. Fairbanks Court, Streeterville, 312-642-0700), where aspirants can try to stuff themselves for the chance at a free frozen turkey. The testicle festival starts at 9 p.m.

Eat someone else’s leftovers at Longman & Eagle’s Off-Site Bar (2657 N. Kedzie Ave., Logan Square, 773-276-7110). The main restaurant will be closed to the general public, but the itty-bitty back bar will be serving turkey sandwiches starting at 3 p.m.

Skip Black Friday in favor of Black Fryday at Honey Butter Fried Chicken (3361 N. Elston Ave., Avondale, 773-478-4000). All day long you can get fries for $3.75, but tack on an extra $1.50 and you can get a black garlic aioli to dip ’em in.
