My friend and I went to a book signing and cocktail party for the Warhol by Galella book at Le Bon Marché department store tonight. We thought we could take advantage of the store’s extended hours and do a little shopping tour. Well, we tried, but our hearts just weren’t in it. Hey, we’ve seen a lot of pretty dresses this week!

Maybe it’s too early to be handing out awards, but it feels like a quick roundup of some Fashion Week favorites (in the non-sartorial categories of invites, music, and special effects), could be just what we need.

Without further ado…

CUTEST INVITATION: Stella McCartney

Yes, it’s one of those little wooden toys that collapses when you push underneath it. Ca-yute! Now I’m wondering if she’s for Hillary or Obama?

MOST CHIC INVITATION: Chanel

You know how you can just read off a menu in French and it sounds like poetry? Those iconic house symbols are cool on their own, but just poetic together.

BEST MUSIC: Tossup between Nina Simone’s “The Other Woman” at Barbara Bui and “Pump Up the Jam” at Stella McCartney

MOST FUN RUNWAY DECOR: Glow in the dark paint at Hussein Chalayan

It was amusing to see which editors had the whitest teeth.
