Imagine an 80s roller rink crossed with The Double Deuce from Road House, and you have a pretty good idea of what Lincoln Square Lanes is really like. Flush with pool tables, arcade games, dartboards, and the titular bowling lanes, the recently remodeled space draws a diverse crowd of game lovers, sports fans, and Chicagoans looking for some great live music (Uptown Shakedown played their hillbilly rock when we stopped by this weekend).

The space, which has been a bowling alley since 1918, was in danger of closing for good just a few months ago, leading to owner Dick Drehobl shutting down for renovations in November.

Now that it's reopened, all we can say is: Game on.
