List Price: $699,000
Sale Price: $675,000
The Property: Troy Brouwer, who plays right wing for the Chicago Blackhawks, has bought a three-bedroom, four-bath condo in a new Roscoe Village condo building.

Brouwer was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2004 and played for their junior teams before making his first appearance with the Chicago team in 2006. With 17 goals so far this season, he is the Blackhawks’ third-highest scorer. Brouwer got married last July, and he and his wife, Carmen, closed in late October on the two-level condo, which is in a ten-unit building. According to the listing sheet, their condo has two decks attached as well as a private roof deck above. There are also two garage parking spaces. I could not reach the Brouwers for comment.

Price Points: The Brouwers “wanted a lot of space” says their real-estate agent, David Bailey of Baird & Warner. “They were looking in Lincoln Park, too,” Bailey says, “but the price per square foot of [the condo they bought] was amazing.” For about 2,800 square feet of indoor space, they paid $241 per square foot, compared to the going rate of $305 per square foot for a Lincoln Park condo.
