From streetwear fashion to ladylike dresses, a mix of emerging and established designers will show their latest collections at the second annual For The Sake of Fashion Runway Show Benefit, a charity fashion show hosted by local blog StreetStyleChi.com. The thread that ties these very different designers together? They all share strong roots in Chicago.

Rodnell Harris of Chicago Playground will present his line of modern-day vintage varsity classics, inspired by the nostalgia and pride of an old college jacket. While Lagi Nadeau, a designer-in-residence for the 2014 Chicago Fashion Incubator program at Macy's on State Street, will be sending her collection of sophisticated dresses down the runway. Christina Karin, a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, has made a name for herself with her line of glammed-up cocktail separates. And Iridium, a Chicago-based lifestyle brand who recently opened a shop on State Street, will show its fashion-forward line of streetwear.

The show is being held on the DePaul campus at Cortelyou Commons (2324 N. Fremont St.) on Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m. Last year, more than 350 people attended the event. While advanced tickets are not required, guests are asked to contribute a small $10 donation benefitting UNICEF.
