As much as I love fashion, I find my attention span is typically 45 minutes at any given store with one exception—the jewelry displays of Ikram. The store is beyond amazing in so many ways, but I find the selection of jewelry there to be absolutely magical. Whether it’s costume or fine, the pieces are so unique with a hint of whimsy, yet completely timeless.

One of my recent finds was this necklace by LA-based Sonia Boyajian, who is more of a sculptor than jewelry designer. It’s a bold statement piece that is surprisingly versatile, whether over a crisp collared shirt or paired with a cocktail dress, and yet it doesn’t feel trendy like some other big necklaces do.

Necklace $1,375, at Ikram, 15 E. Huron.
