Get in some midweek drinking at the Heavy Feather (2357 N. Milwaukee Ave., Logan Square, 773-799-8504) during monthly-in-the-summertime Weeknight at Bernie’s party, with boat-friendly cocktails (a piña colada, a Sea Breeze) and yacht rock aplenty from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Wednesday, July 27

Go on a farm dinner without leaving the city thanks to catering group Big Delicious Planet’s (412 N. Wolcott Ave., West Town) urban farm meal. Your $125 entry (tickets here) includes a multicourse meal made with ingredients from their growing operation.

Toast to a four-course meal with champagne pairings from Veuve Clicquot at the Betty (839 W. Fulton Market, West Loop, 312-733-2222). The $150 meal includes passed appetizers and four courses matched to a variety of sparklers. Call the restaurant to make a reservation.

Thursday, July 28

Food meets art at the Eye Eaters Society dinner at Mott St. (1401 N. Ashland Ave., Wicker Park, 773-687-9977), where the kitchen crew will create a multi-course meal inspired by a selection of works by photographer Paul Octavious. The experience costs $65, and you can make reservations here.

Friday, July 29

Celebrate National Lasagna Day at Tesori (65 E. Adams St., Loop, 312-786-9911), where they’ll have both a meaty (veal pancetta lasagna for $16) and a veggie take (spinach and ricotta for $15) on the layered pasta dish on special all day long.
