To celebrate the first-ever World Tapas Day, a very official and real holiday, El Tapeo (2100 Spring Road, Oak Brook, 630-828-2044) will have half-off tapas and signature sangría as well as drink specials.

Friday, June 17

Stuff yourself silly with half-price eats and drinks at Q-Tine (2339 N. Milwaukee Ave., Logan Square, 773-227-5100) in honor of its first anniversary. From open to close (at 4 a.m.), the spot’s standard gravy-and-curd combo will be $3.75 and its boozy slushies will cost a mere $5.

Take a global grape tour with Around the World in 80 Sips, a wine festival at Studio Paris (59 W. Hubbard St., River North, 312-377-9944) that’s sponsored by Bottlenotes. Your $75 general admission includes wine samples, hors d’oeuvres, and chocolate pairings.

Sample beer under the watchful gaze of the animals at the Lincoln Park Zoo (2200 N. Cannon Dr., 312-742-2000) during Brew to be Wild, a suds fest from 6 to 11 p.m. tonight and tomorrow. Tickets are $49—learn more here.

Sunday, June 19

Give Dad his due on Father’s Day with a buttload of smoked meats at Saint Lou’s Assembly (664 W. Lake St., West Loop, 312-600-0600). On the restaurant’s back patio, you can buy ribs, chicken, watermelon salad, and more to go with your complimentary beer from Green Flash Brewing Co. from 4 to 8 p.m.
