Get your guac-making skills down pat at a guacamole workshop inside the Guest Room, the private events space at Antique Taco (1360 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wicker Park, 773-687-8697). Though Joy District (112 W. Hubbard St., River North, 312-955-0339) has been open for a few weeks now, its massive rooftop has remained off-limits until tonight, its official grand opening. Mark the occasion with a (free!) party from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring signature cocktails and complimentary appetizers.

Emporium Wicker Park (1366 N. Milwaukee Ave., 773-697-7922) is getting a new Ghostbusters pinball machine, and they’re celebrating it starting at 7 p.m. with help from the Windy City Ghostbusters, a group of local Ghostbusters enthusiasts.
