What to Eat and Drink in Chicago This Week

Yeah, there’s that one big meal. But there are also cheap oysters, juice cleanses, and truffle pizzas to feast on.

Monday, November 24

You’re going to feel like crap when you wake up on Friday morning. Counteract it and order a juice cleanse from Owen + Alchemy (2355 N. Milwaukee Ave., Logan Square, 773-227-3444), which, if you reserve on their website by 7 p.m. tonight using the code GREENFRIDAY, you will get for 15 percent off. You can pick it up or have it delivered on Friday.

Wednesday, November 26

Get one-buck shucks at the adjoining Acre and Ombra (5308 N. Clark St., Andersonville, 773-334-7600), where they’ll be serving dollar oysters (with a minimum order of six) starting at 5 p.m. until they run out.

Or, if you want to go a little bigger for Black Wednesday, which is apparently a thing now, the Dawson (730 W. Grand Ave., West Town, 312-243-8955) is throwing a Black Party, complete with Hennessy Black cocktails, complimentary appetizers, and music from DJ Intel. The festivities begin at 7 p.m.

Friday, November 28

Take a Black Friday shopping break for a pizza party at Tre Soldi (212 E. Ohio St., Streeterville, 312-664-0212), where they’ll be offering a white-truffle-topped pie for $50 for one day only.

Saturday, November 29

In case you didn’t get stuffed with enough turkey on Thursday, Tanta (118 W. Grand Ave., River North, 312-222-9700) is running their Thanksgiving specials through tomorrow, including a turkey breast with mushrooms, bacon, and prunes topped with a glazed cranberry aji panca sauce for $39.
