Chalk Boutique Fall Fashion Event

September 30, 2010- Chicago magazine and Chalk Boutique in Evanston partnered for the 2nd annual fall fashion event. Chicago magazine contributing fashion editor, Stacy Wallace-Albert, hosted the evening’s event. The exclusive VIP party featured light bites, a wine tasting sponsored by E. & J. Gallo winery, and a presentation by guest designer, Chris Benz.

Van Gogh BLUE Vodka’s “Drink, Dish & Pose” Event

October 6, 2010 – Van Gogh BLUE Vodka and Chicago magazine teamed up to present “Drink, Dish & Pose” at The Beauty Bar. Four of Chicago’s most vivacious ladies, Ginger Zee, Kelli Zink, Megan Taylor, and April Francis, hosted the girls night out event, complete with signature Van Gogh BLUE cocktails (Kelli Zink’s Cosmojo was the crowd favorite!) and cupcakes from More. Inspired by photos taken at a pre-event Vavoom Pinup photo shoot, guests were invited to strike a pose of their own at a live shoot that evening. Partygoers also participated in a raffle, and four lucky guests were selected to receive a very special Van Gogh BLUE prize.

Carson Pirie Scott Fall Trendevous Fashion Event

September 18, 2010- Guests were invited to Carson Pirie Scott at Yorktown to revel in fall’s emerging trends with Chicago magazine, contributing fashion editor Stacy Wallace-Albert, and International Fashion Designer, Victor Alfaro. Attendees enjoyed a tasty breakfast bar, a private shopping experience, and exciting runway show. Guests also took home gift bags filled with Carson’s gift cards and coupons to use towards a new fall wardrobe.

“Picture This” Event with the American Society of Interior Designers

September 22, 2010 – Chicago Home + Garden magazine teamed up with the American Society of Interior Designers to present “Picture This” at The Chopping Block in The Merchandise Mart. Amid hor d’oeuvres and cocktails, readers received free, in-person design advice from ASID designers. Guests brought photos of their spaces for the professionals, who sketched out possible solutions to each reader’s design dilemma. Guests also enjoyed a brief presentation by ASID president Joan Kaufman on the benefits of hiring a professional designer.

Ravinia’s A Shore Thing: Hot Singles and Cool Sounds with Nelly Furtado

September 3, 2010- Single city dwellers gathered at Ravinia Festival to mix-n-mingle before enjoying the sounds of summer with Nelly Furtado. Ravinia, in partnership with Chicago magazine, hosted an exclusive VIP event before the evening’s performance. Partygoers enjoyed specialty cocktails from Don Julio and Ketel One Oranje, as well as Heineken beer and wine from Seven Daughters. Ted Brunson, the host of CLTV’s Chicago’s Best, emceed the evening. Guests also entered to win prizes from a raffle drawing, and two lucky winners won a meet-n-greet with Nelly Furtado.

American Craft Exposition 2010 NorthShore University Hospital

August 26, 2010- On August 26th, guests gathered at Northwestern University for the American Craft Exposition Benefit preview party. Guests could view unique art pieces and crafts, while enjoying delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The evening kicked off the three-day Craft Exposition and ticket sales supported critical cancer research.

La Dolce Vita! Kitchen Walk Kick Off Party

August 12, 2010- Designs for Dignity kicked off the 2010 Kitchen Walk with La Dolce Vita Kick off Party at Artemide. The evening celebrated the 2010 Kitchen Walk which will take place on October 16, 2010 in Michigan’s Harbor Country. Guests enjoyed an evening of Italian cocktails and music, and an exciting raffle emceed by Jan Parr, editor of Chicago Home + Garden.
