Designs For Dignity VIP Kitchen Walk Party

August 4, 2011–The VIP Kitchen Walk Party was held at the Sub-Zero/Wolf showroom in The Merchandise Mart on August 4th. More than 100 guests enjoyed food and wine pairings from chef Craig Bell. Raffle prizes included Ravinia tickets and wine baskets from William Hill. Proceeds from the event benefited the work of Designs for Dignity.

PAWS Chicago 9th Annual Beach Party

July 14, 2011–PAWS Chicago, the city’s largest No Kill, humane organization hosted the 9th Annual Beach Party on Thursday, July 14th at Castaways Boathouse at North Avenue Beach. This year’s event had more than 400 people and 100 dogs in attendance, making it one of Chicago’s largest pet-friendly social gatherings. The event was co-chaired by Dawn and Jim O’Neal and Nancy and Ron Officer. Presented by North Community Bank, Pomellato, and Bonnie and James L. Spurlock, the Beach Party was a great success and raised more than $210,000 for homeless pets!

Kohler Presents “The Bold & The Beautiful”

July 13, 2011—Chicago magazine partnered with the Kohler Store to host the second annual “The Bold & The Beautiful” event, which honors five local tastemakers whose style, influence, personal and professional accomplishments magnify the true success of the city, its people. The five women honored were: Lindsay Avner, Andrea Metcalf, Monica Pedersen, Allison Rosati and Audarshia Townsend.

Stella Artois Summer Music Series at The Globe Pub

July 14, 2011— Our second Stella Artois Summer Music series proved to be a hit when local Chicagoans joined together for a night of beer and music at The Globe Pub in Irving Park. Guests were able to sip complimentary Stella Artois while enjoying the acoustic stylings of singer Rebecca REGO. Join us for our third and final music series on Wednesday, August 17, 2011!

Captain Morgan’s Birthday

May 13, 2011–Supermodel Marisa Miller hosted Captain Morgan’s Birthday Celebration at Chicago’s Public House, on May 13, 2011. Guests enjoyed Captain Morgan cocktails and previewed a new Captain Morgan commercial directed by Academy Award-winning director Tom Hooper.

24th Annual Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala

May 7, 2011–The 24th annual Alzheimer’s Association Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala took place at the Hilton Chicago with more than 600 guests generously donating more than $900,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association. Sandy Zane & Ned Bennett and Kindred Healthcare were honored at the event. Funds raised through the Rita Hayworth Gala support the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission of providing care and support resources for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, as well as funding groundbreaking research into the cause, treatment and prevention of Alzheimer’s. The evening included a cocktail reception, three-course dinner, program, auctions and live music for dancing. Princess Yasmin Aga Khan began this event in honor of her mother, actress Rita Hayworth, who died as a result of Alzheimer’s disease. Under Princess Yasmin Aga Khan’s leadership, over $55 million has been raised through the Rita Hayworth Galas. These funds, combined with other donations, have helped the Alzheimer’s Association work toward our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s disease.

Chicago Architecture Foundation Gala

May 20, 2011 — The Chicago Architecture (CAF) held its 36th annual gala, Transformations, on May 20 at the Fairmont Chicago at Millennium Park. 530 guests from the architecture, design, and business communities of Chicago attended the event. Co-chairs of the gala were John A. Buck II (The John Buck Company), Patrick G. Ryan (Ryan Specialty Group), and Miles D. White (Abbott). The evening raised $450,00 for the Chicago Architecture Foundation and the numerous youth education programs offered by the foundation.

Stella Artois Summer Music Series at The Kerryman
