Go Brewing

This Naperville brewery has already shown it knows how to make a great-tasting nonalcoholic beer — it took gold and silver medals at the Best of Craft Beer Awards. (If you need more proof, just try the mango-peach deliciousness of the Sunshine State Tropical IPA.) Now it’s out to establish another truth: You can have just as much fun while drinking NA beer. Go’s taproom opened last October, more than two years after cofounder Joe Chura began using his overconsumption during the pandemic as inspiration to develop craft recipes for nonalcoholic brews. With a dog-friendly patio, bag throwing, and live music — three essential pieces to my personal relaxation puzzle — Go has all the amenities of your typical beer destination. But there’s even more on offer: Head there on a weekend or even some weeknights, and you’re likely to find some very non-taproom-typical elements, such as yoga classes that take place in the actual taproom and a running club that starts outside the front door. If you’re like me — trying to reevaluate your relationship with alcohol — you’ll find yourself coming back again and again … and never leaving with a hangover. 1665 Quincy Ave., Naperville
