Monday, April 6

This month’s installment of the Dinner Party (an evening of entertainment with notable Chicagoans in creative fields, plus some edible options from an award-winning chef) will call on Acadia’s Ryan McCaskey to cook up a few things for the crowd and other panelists, including Chaz Ebert and photographer Sandro. The event starts at 7 p.m. at City Winery; the $45 tickets are available here.

The weekly $38 farm dinner at Lula Cafe (2537 N. Kedzie Ave., Logan Square, 773-489-9554) will come with a twist today: all the à la carte drink pairings will come from the beermakers at Middle Brow, and half of all pairing sales will be donated to food-focused charity Pilot Light. Reach out to the restaurant for a table.

Wednesday, April 8

Feast at Fleming’s (25 E. Ohio St., River North, 312-329-9463), where the happy hour food menu will run extra-long. That means ahi tuna tacos and lobster lettuce wraps will clock in at $9 until 10 p.m.

Thursday, April 9

This week is Chicago WhiskyFest, and even if you didn’t get tickets to the main event, there are plenty of other ways to toast to the occasion. On Thursday, for instance, you can drop in to Longman & Eagle (2657 N. Kedzie Ave., Logan Square, 773-276-7110) starting at 5 p.m. to taste two versions of Brown & Stirred, a Manhattan-inspired beer made with the team at Pipeworks Brewing. They’ll have both the basic beer and one that’s been aged in rye barrels.

Sunday, April 12

Party in the light of day at Carnivale (702 W. Fulton Market, West Loop, 312-850-5005) for an end-of-spring-break brunch, with family-friendly entertainment such as stilt walkers and magicians from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call the restaurant to make a reservation.
