The news about Chicago’s starred restaurants in the 2015 Michelin Guide went public Tuesday afternoon, and there were some big changes: Grace earned a three-star rating, making it one of just two Chicago spots to earn the guide’s highest honor. Alinea maintained its three-star rating for a fifth straight year.
It was also a good day for 42 Grams, which jumped to a two-star rating after its first year. L2O held onto its two-star rating in spite of the announcement that the restaurant would close at the end of the year. (Start making those reservations now.)
