September 20, 2013–Chicago foodies took to Union Station for the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America “Journey Through the Great Lakes” benefit dinner to support the foundation as well as local charity partner Common Threads. Chefs included All-Star Richard Blais; Andrew Zimmerman of Sepia; Paul Virant of Vie; Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia; and Gale Gand of Tru, among others. Following dinner, “Night Bites” presented by Breadcrumb PRO, showcased the city’s rising star chefs, Crafthouse Cocktails, and music by Matt Roan.
