The Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust Chairman’s Reception and Wright Plus Weekend

May 31, 2012–The Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust held its annual Chairman’s Reception benefit at The Rookery, with its spectacular Frank Lloyd Wright-designed light court and home to the Preservation Trust’s downtown offices. Patricia and T. Kendall Hunt, CEO, VASCO Data Security International Inc., co-chaired the reception, which attracted more than 200 guests. This festive celebration launched the 38th Annual Wright Plus on Saturday, June 2, a weekend-long event featuring the world-renowned architecture of Wright and his contemporaries in Oak Park, Illinois.

2012 Chicago magazine Green Awards

April 11, 2012–Chicago magazine hosted an exclusive reception at Revolution Brewing to honor the Green Award winners featured in the April 2012 editorial feature. This year’s honorees are Cassie Green, Said Al-Hallaj, Elise Zelechowski, Brian Levin, and Deborah Sawyer.

March 10, 2012–Carson’s fashion and shopping event of the season showcased must have trends for spring in their annual runway show. The event took place at the Yorktown location and was emceed by Heiji Choy Black, the new fashion director of Chicago magazine.

February 8, 2012–Chicago magazine and Illinois Super Lawyers hosted an exclusive reception at The Fairmont Chicago Hotel honoring the top Attorneys in Illinois as featured in the February 2012 issue of Chicago magazine. Mercedes-Benz Chicagoland Dealers was the exclusive sponsor of the evening.

Chicagoans of the Year 2011 Luncheon

January 26, 2012–For the 18th consecutive year Chicago magazine honored its Chicagoans of the Year, six individuals who have changed life in the city for the better. The magazine celebrated their achievements at its annual Chicagoans of the Year Luncheon at the Peninsula Hotel, sponsored in party by American Airlines and emceed by ABC 7 News reporter Leah Hope.

Top Doctors 2012 Reception

February 2, 2012–Chicago magazine and Cadillac, the presenting sponsor, hosted an exclusive reception honoring the doctors featured in the January 2012 editorial cover feature, “Chicago’s Top Doctors”. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres as they enjoyed a private performance by 3-time Grammy nominee, Frank Catalano. Attendees were also treated a viewing of the all-new Cadillac XTS.

Eve Alfillé Gallery and Studio Celebration

November 19, 2011–Eve Alfillé Gallery and Studio unveiled Eve’s newest collection “Dancing Under the Stars” during an open house. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of Donna Goodman catering, and purchased one-of-a-kind, kiln-fired, art glass pieces created by Eve’s daughter, Diane Alfillé.
