No-drama Queen “What’s great about opera is that you can really let yourself go and be melodramatic. But in real life, I’m always working on keeping a balance of emotion. For the most part, I try to stay pretty even keeled. Life can easily become dramatic if you [let] it. You have to keep perspective.”

Nature Girl “I love nature and camping. Whenever I tell people that I love cooking over a fire in the moonlight and sleeping in a tent, they think I’m crazy because that’s the furthest thing from my appearance as an opera singer. But nothing appeals to me more than being in a pair of jeans with my hiking boots on.”
