For a few glorious weeks in April and May, with bars grimly shuttered all over town, Goose Island Beer Co. brought beer to thirsty Chicagoans, reigniting in grownups the ineffable joy of seeing the Good Humor man drive up the street. If you spotted the black van with yellow hubcaps in your neighborhood, all you had to do was call the number on the side, tell the driver what you wanted (cans only), and wait for the truck to circle back to your doorstep. If that doesn’t spark some good humor, we don’t know what will.
