In April, with clubs and bars closed, country-meets-punk musician Jon Langford climbed into the bed of a sky-blue Chevy Silverado and took his music to the people — at least to the people of Oak Park and Berwyn. The Mekons and Waco Brothers guitarist’s gig was the first of what would become a series of “rolling performances” put on by FitzGerald’s, the venerable Berwyn music venue. Other acts included Lil’ Ed and the Blues Imperials and Toronzo Cannon (above). By summer, the spot had changed things up, announcing drive-in concerts at various outdoor locations in the vicinity of the club.
