Nella Grassano arguably introduced the Land of Deep Dish to Neapolitan-style pizza while the pizzaiolo at Spacca Napoli (see No. 27), where she crafted the impeccable Margherita pies that put the place on the map. Grassano was destined for her own pizzeria, complete with a fancy oven, which she and her husband, Frank, opened in 2012. She’s still queen of the Neapolitans, with their authentic toppings on a magical chewy yet sturdy crust. If you prefer to call for delivery, you’ll get a slightly undercooked pie to finish in your own oven. As good as at the restaurant. 1443 W. Fullerton Ave., 773-281-6600
