This one-room restaurant on a side street has neither the footprint nor the name to suggest it serves the best Cantonese seafood in town. If you can secure one of its few tables, then you’ll be rewarded with giant Pacific oysters with house XO sauce, a whole bass with ginger and green onion, and razor clams steamed with garlic and thin noodles. If you want even more seafood, add a wok-fried lobster to the mix (the hacked pieces pull from the shell with a satisfying boing), but if you need more variety, try the tea-smoked duck and the pea tips in garlic. Or, with some planning, go for the king crab experience, a four-course feast that starts with a six-pound live crab you must order in advance. When it comes to shellfish, this kitchen can
do no wrong.
