Since its opening in 1999, Logan Square’s Lula Cafe has been one of the city’s most thoughtful restaurants and a leader in farm-to-table dining. Led by chef and owner Jason Hammel, the all-day spot features dishes with loads of fruits, vegetables, maple syrup, and other locally sourced ingredients. But nothing quite captures Lula’s seasonal ethos like the Monday-night farm dinner. Held weekly until the pandemic, the $50 meal is now offered monthly and features three courses built around what’s in season and what’s inspiring the chefs that week. It might be an apple, radish, and smoked duck salad, or maybe a yogurt sorbet with whey hibiscus soda. Whatever it is, it’ll be good. This is Lula, after all. 2537 N. Kedzie Blvd., Logan Square
